The 2026 LEIU/IALEIA Annual Training Event brought together intelligence and analytical professionals from across the country during the last week of April in Orlando, Florida for a week dedicated to professional development, collaboration, and advancing the field of criminal intelligence analysis. The conference provided attendees with valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and explore emerging trends impacting public safety and investigative work.

We are proud to recognize two of our members who represented our organization as presenters during this year’s conference.

Kerri-Lynne Black, LMFT, presented Managing Stress & Maintaining Wellness for Analysts, an important session focused on the unique pressures analysts face in their professional roles. Her presentation highlighted the importance of mental wellness, stress management strategies, and maintaining resilience in careers that often involve high workloads, exposure to traumatic information, and constant operational demands. The session encouraged attendees to prioritize wellness while continuing to perform at a high level in support of their agencies and communities.

Danielle Scandiffio presented Analytical Support in Prosecution, a session focused on the critical role analysts play beyond investigations and into the prosecutorial process. The presentation explored how analytical products, case support, visualizations, timelines, and intelligence development can strengthen prosecutions and improve collaboration between analysts, investigators, and prosecutors. Attendees gained insight into practical ways analysts can contribute to successful case outcomes and enhance courtroom preparedness.

The participation of our members as presenters at this year’s conference reflects the depth of expertise within our organization and the continued impact analysts are making across the profession. Conferences such as the LEIU/IALEIA Annual Training Event provide an invaluable platform for sharing knowledge, strengthening professional networks, and advancing the standards of intelligence and crime analysis nationwide.

We congratulate Kerri-Lynne and Danielle on their outstanding presentations and thank them for representing our organization and contributing to the continued growth of the analytical profession.
